WYAC is about to enter into an indigenous land use agreement (ILUA) with the CSIRO and Commonwealth Government in respect of the Square Kilometre Array Observatory (SKAO), an international effort to build the world’s largest radio telescope (https://www.skatelescope.org/australia/) on Wajarri Yamaji country.
The ILUA is an important relationship between the Wajarri Yamaji People and SKAO partners, and the purpose of this role is to foster a strong relationship between the Wajarri Yamaji People and SKAO partners such that all parties benefit from a constructive, productive and harmonious ongoing engagement.
Eligibility to Apply: Pursuant of Section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, the occupant of this position must be of Aboriginal descent.
